Hello Everyone,

I'm Marwa Nahle a language and communication sciences graduate and a masters' student in Instructional Designing and E-training. In my blog, I'm willing to share English numeric lessons and activities for elementary level mainly for third graders! Feedback on technological tools that will aid in the learning-teaching process will be shared as well.

This blog will serve as a reference for teachers and students. Feel free to ask any question and will always be open to any discussion related to educational technology, e-learning, and ICT.

Most teachers nowadays, especially after the spread of Covid-19 and school closure keep asking how to increase the interaction between students? How can we feel the spirit of a learning community? I have the answer! Flipgrid is a social learning platform where teachers and students record videos and share them with one another. Students will engage with their peers, post comments, and like each other's videos. In my third post, I shared a sample lesson on Descriptive Writing. I mentioned that it will be taught in a blended learning setting. The summative assessment was to write a descriptive paragraph describing their favorite video game character. Yet, as the closure of schools continues, I thought of a way to assess students in distance learning and to keep engagement high. Introducing Instructional Design

Have you ever wondered what do we mean by Instructional Design ? This new term has been used lately post Covid-19 as educational institutions switched from face-to-face learning into distant(online) learning. Instructional design is defined as the design of learning experiences. The material designed has to be effective, efficient, and appealing to the learners. Instructional designers are trained to apply learning theories, instructional design models, and designed learning. The following infographic designed by me amid the closure of educational institutions due to Covid-19 to list a few roles of instructional designers.  One of the popular models used in instructional design is the "ADDIE " model.
